Chaos To Clarity: Success in a Digital World

Take Control of your Facebook Privacy Settings (Video)

As you connect with more and more people on Facebook, take control of your privacy. Everyone doesn’t necessarily need to know everything about you. In this video I’ll walk you through the basics of Facebook privacy.

Update: Facebook is making several changes in preparation for giving us better privacy controls. Since I did the video, “Publisher Control Default” has change to “Posts by Me” or to “Status & Links”. I’m still able to control who sees each update but yesterday someone told me they’re not.

Very helpful, Tracy, but under Privacy>Profile, I do not have the box for Publisher Control Default. Everything else that showed on your screen seems to be there. Any idea why that would be missing?

I don’t know anything about the new privacy settings/model other than what mashable.com has reported. I’m hoping that in the next few weeks Facebook will clue us in on what’s to come.
